OUR STORY
A German Dream Rooted in Montana
Our journey began with one special dog who showed us that love is the one thing that lasts. That lesson continues to guide the way we care for every dog entrusted to us.
We are Nadine and Philippe, together with our daughter Katelynn. Born in Germany and now building our life in Big Sky Country, we share a deep respect for animals and a clear belief that responsible care should feel personal, dependable, and kind.
After traveling through the United States for more than a decade, Montana captured our hearts at first sight. The open landscape, quiet surroundings, and close connection to nature offered the ideal place to create Paws 'N' Stripes K9 Services in Fromberg.

DOG EXPERIENCE
A Life Shaped by Dogs
Our experience extends far beyond everyday pet ownership. For more than a decade, dogs have been part of our family life, our professional focus, and our responsibility to the wider dog community.
In 2019, we founded Hurricane Heart Miniature Bullterrier, an internationally award-winning kennel. Five of the six Miniature Bull Terriers by our side are from our own offspring. Two beloved American Staffordshire Terriers remain part of our story and continue to watch over us from above.
While living in Germany, we also supported local animal shelters and dog rescue organizations. These experiences strengthened our belief in responsible handling, careful observation, honest communication, and care that respects the individual dog.

A FAMILY MISSION
Respect for Dogs Starts Early
Katelynn shares our love and respect for animals and plays an active part in the spirit behind Paws 'N' Stripes. For us, responsible dog care also means helping children and families understand how to interact with dogs safely and respectfully.
Our community education includes basic dog safety visits for schools and kindergartens, with age-appropriate information about bite prevention, safe behavior around dogs, and responsible interaction. Live demonstrations with our own dogs help make those lessons practical and memorable.
This commitment reflects the heart of our business. We want dogs to feel secure, owners to feel informed, and families to build relationships with animals based on understanding rather than fear.
